About

Background as a Maryland Contractor

Coming from a family of homebuilders, Maryland contractor, historical restoration, and renovation experts, Fritz Eisenbrandt started his building career working as a carpenter while studying at Washington College on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Commercial Fishing

Fritz’ first job out of school was working as a commercial fisherman on the Chesapeake Bay hauling in crabs. Fritz loves the Bay and enjoyed getting to earn a living and live close to it throughout this time. This is something that he has carried with him throughout his building career, prioritizing environmental preservation and low impact building as a way to accomplish this.

Construction

One day Fritz’ father called and said, ‘Son, get a job.’ So he did. Fritz began a 2-year stint working at Ryland Homes, a Maryland contractor and construction company. Starting off in a position as a Carpenter, Fritz quickly grew into a role as a Site Supervisor, overseeing the construction of over 200 homes during the course of 2 years. During this time, Fritz also procured his first piece of property on the Eastern Shore and designed and built his own Cape Cod style 2-story house.

Residential Construction

Fritz then moved back home to Baltimore to work for Delbert Adams, as one of his first hires to build up his own high-end residential construction company, Delbert Adams Construction Group. Over the course of the next 5 years, Fritz worked in a variety of roles – serving as a Carpenter, Site Supervisor, and Project Manager, getting exposure to all aspects of the business and what it means to be a Maryland contractor.

Maryland Contractor Eisenbrandt Companies

In 2009, after earning a degree from the Building Performance Institute (BPI) as a certified Building Analyst Energy Auditor, Fritz formed Maryland Contractor Company Eisenbrandt Companies, specializing in two areas – high-end residential construction as well as energy efficient home building.
